Nancy discusses growing up in Staten Island and attending Stuyvesant High School, then attending the University of Virginia. She shares how she played rugby at UVA, then moved to Philadelphia to play rugby and attend Temple University for her PhD. She discusses her time cooking in restaurants Charlottesville, including in Muldowney’s, the first unofficial gay bar in Charlottesville. She also discusses her long tenure as head coach of the UVA Women’s Rugby team and the community she tries to build with her team. She also talks about her Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs and her LGBTQ community in Charlottesville.
