Tie your ETD deposits to your Student Information System (SIS) for automatic fulfillment of graduation requirements. Changing your print deposit process? Take the opportunity to partner with your institutions registrar(s) to streamline administrative procedures as well. Students had to run all over campus to get receipts for dissertation completion tasks. Now they can submit from anywhere in the world and graduate on time, while providing open access to their scholarly output. It took a village to make this change and has very quickly made ETDs an integrated part of graduate program culture at our institution.
