Me. We. - Moving from Ethics to Justice in Engineering
Educational ResourceAuthors:Kadir, KhalidMichel, Valerie
Abstract:
Dr. Khalid Kadir discusses the engineering profession's approach to ethics and how the current approach has contributed to the unequal social and environmental outcomes we see in the world today. He asks "How might we do differently?" Dr. Kadir considers how we might move from narrow constructions of personal ethics ("me") to a broader conception of our place in the social world around us ("we"). Dr. Kadir was joined by Valerie Michel, a Ph.D. student at UVA.
